Springwater Corridor Trail

New Springwater Corridor from OMSI to Sellwood Bridge

Description:

This newly completed trail follows the old rail line along the East bank of the Willamette River. The river diverts around either side of Ross Island and provides beautiful views of Ross Island, the Willamette River, and the West Hills of Portland. Ross Island is a heron rookery. The riverbank is tree laden with deciduous varieties notably maple and alder. When you arrive at Oaks Bottom be sure to stop and view the many species of birds including herons and egrets.
